INVENIO is involved in the management and the phenotyping of a set of advanced lines/varieties and genetic resources and of a segregating population versus Podosphaera aphanis which causes powdery mildew. INVENIO participates with INRAE to the genotyping of this strawberry material and to QTL and WGAS analysis to characterize interesting germplasm and identify breeding selections (WP1).

INVENIO manages and coordinates the test of the antimicrobial properties of the dsRNA molecules, by spray-induced gene silencing (SIGS) environmentally friendly applications against P. aphanis, to protect strawberry plants (WP3).
